Hi folks, Pokerstars have released the Zoom Beta and after being a Rush junky (albeit a fishy one) back in the FT days I couldn't resist having a punt. I am not withdrawing my BR from Ipoker just yet as I am close to a juicy bonus scoop and need to keep playing to generate another 2k Titan points. So I had a spare $50 and decided to just throw it on Stars and play. So 6k hands later and I have $110 and a juicy winrate at 5NL zoom. The software is amazingly similar to FT's and the player pool is equally good..../bad don't know how to describe it. Good to play against, bad standard of play, either way is awesome sauce for me. So yea, after a dramstically (dramatic + drastically) good first session I degened my way to 1k hands per 44minutes (baller?) and am showing a fairly solid 10bb/100 win rate. Obv this is a small sample size and may not be sustainable or as high at 10/25NL but never the less is encouraging.
What this means is that I am now flipping over whether to move my roll from Titan/Ipoker and stop bonus whoring and start grinding for Platinum Star. Supernova is out of reach for this year as a (insert what you call a solid reg that has a 9-5 job working for the man) can't get sufficient volume. However I am hopeful that I can get a sick enough volume for platinum.
Platinum = 7.5k VPP's pcm
I am making approx 60 VPP's per 1000 hands
7.5k/60 = 125 = 125k pcm for Platinum, assuming I stay at 5NL (flawed assumption)
So this means that I have to find time to play 93.75 hours per month (see above 44mins [3/4 hour] per 1k hands) I believe that this is difficult but with weekends is defo something I can manage.
Factor in that if I move my roll from Titan at the start of May and I believe that I have it locked in.
I am hoping to blog again tonite/tomorrow morning so I will include some HH's from tonight in there.
Take it easy
