First winning session of the month

Yea I've been quiet for a while, doing a lot of studying and working on my game as it was getting to the point where I couldn't possibly be running this bad over 25k hands without some uber leak.

Leak buster blamed my river calling efficiency, saying its to high. Time to get to the river more with checking and calling then. So read some COTWs on 2+2 and some of P.Gs articles and am happy to say I feel more confident in my game.

So regarding my recent sessions. Last 4 sessions were uber sweet. 2bi win followed by a 1.5bi win followed by a break even and a 2bi win clearing 5 $5 bonus chunks as well for +2.5bi freeroll. Which was always good news. My W$SD line is also looking much much more healthy. So yea it's short term results with only 5k hands but its encouraging to say the least.

So some super interesting hands cropped up. Think I misplayed one but there were a few nice spots my main question in hand #1 was 3 bet sizing. Villain was a terribad fish playing 4 tables that I was on, his open size varied for 4-6x and I hadn't seen him showdown but he was playing 23/14/1.1 CO was 14/9/3.9 only 360 hands on him. Low steal % and high F2Steal. Doesn't get out of line so I figure it's good spot for a big 3 bet to maximize my F.E

Pre-Flop: Ad Qd dealt to Hero
3 folds,  raises to $0.60, 2 folds,  calls $0.60, 2 folds, Hero raises to $2.45, 2 folds

So my main question is, was this the right bet size. Maths talks apparently so $2.45 to win $1.35. 1.35/2.45 = 55% so if they fold 55% this is +EV bet. However when you factor in that when the fish calls I am crushing his range then I figure its probably a little more. In this case fish has a Fold to 3b of 100% over 1k hands. Not really significant sample but anyways. V2 has 0% Fold to 3b however he wasn't the open and given stack sizes it's a mistake to continue with his flatting range here. So yea am I looking to size my bet down a little or up a little. I want to be getting folds here as AQ 3 ways.....not too happy and if Fish flats reg flats behind.

So over analysis there a little basically should I bet more or less or is it a case of Goldilocks.....just right?

This was my least favorite hand of the day. Obv it was one of the last hands of my session and I was just vomming otr. I figure it's a busted str8 draw/busted FD or he has an 8.

Villain is 39/0/0 over 750 hands WTS 41% W$SD 19%

Pre-Flop: Jd Jh dealt to Hero (UTG+2)
UTG folds, UTG+1 calls $0.10, Hero raises to $0.45, 6 folds, UTG+1 calls $0.35

Flop: ($1.05) 7s 8d 3d (2 Players)
UTG+1 checks, Hero bets $0.85, UTG+1 calls $0.85

Turn: ($2.75) 8s (2 Players)
UTG+1 checks, Hero checks

River: ($2.75) Ks (2 Players)
UTG+1 bets $3.20, Hero.....makes a mistake??????

So after looking more closely I am 100% sure this is a fold, but it was the end of a semi long session and I was like....sigh he can't have it every time and called it off. Obvs he had 7s full. He was a mouse and I didn't even check his stats......(I was tired hence why my session was winding down) Dumb spot to go hey he must be overbetting with a busted FD.....I call. So I consider myself well and truly ridiculed for that one.

Tomorrow/Tonights post will be a strategy post, I want to do one per month on the first weekend of the month so this months is going to be on getting the middle of your range to showdown. Which is super important for me as it has such a large effect on my winrate.

Until then, run good and STAY INSIDE its FREEZING!!!!!
